Multiplier Review 2026: EOR Pricing, Pros and Cons
What Multiplier charges for employer of record, contractors and global payroll, the fees it leaves unpriced, and how ten hires compare with Deel, Remote and Oyster.
Multiplier is a good EOR in 2026 for a company that wants a lower per-employee fee than Deel or Remote and can live with add-on fees it does not price in advance. Its Core employer of record plan costs $459 per employee per month on an annual contract or $499 month to month, and Growth costs $519 or $559, prices read on Multiplier's pricing page on 19 October 2026.
The headline number people quote, $400, is Multiplier's Contractor of Record fee, not its EOR fee. On like-for-like monthly billing, Core is $100 a month below Deel's $599 EOR rate, so ten hires save $12,000 a year at list prices. The catch is what sits beside the fee: compliance-mandated add-ons and an implementation fee "as applicable", and adjusted pricing in about 11% of the countries it supports.

Multiplier is an employer of record and global payroll platform: it becomes the legal employer of your staff in countries where you have no entity, runs their payroll and benefits, and pays contractors through the same account. It says it covers 160+ countries for hiring and runs payroll in 100+. Our best EOR services ranking compares the whole category; this page asks whether Multiplier's lower list price holds up once the extra lines are counted.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 75 payroll tools as of 19 October 2026, and only 16% of them are free, freemium or open source. Multiplier's Toolradar profile shows it listed as an alternative to 3 other tools, so buyers usually meet it as a challenger to Deel or Remote rather than as the first name on a shortlist.
What is Multiplier?
Multiplier sells three products on one platform. Employer of Record covers full-time hires without a local entity, with contracts, payroll, tax filings, benefits administration and onboarding included in the fee, per its pricing FAQ. Contractor products come in two levels: a light contractor plan for contracts and payments, and Contractor of Record, where Multiplier holds the contract and takes on classification risk. Global Payroll is for companies that already own entities and only need payroll run in each country.
Around those sit optional services: health, life and travel insurance, IT equipment in 130+ countries and background checks. Multiplier lists SOC 2 Type I and II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications, which matter to a security review before you hand over payroll data for staff abroad.
How Multiplier works
You book a demo, agree a contract and then add hires one by one; Multiplier says there is no minimum headcount, so a single hire in one country is accepted. For an EOR hire, Multiplier drafts a local contract, onboards the person and runs monthly payroll, leave and expenses in its platform, while you direct the work. Where you already have an entity, Global Payroll can sit next to EOR so both groups of staff are paid from one system.
Billing is per person per month, with a choice of monthly or yearly terms on EOR. The yearly term saves 8%, and in exchange you commit for the contract period, which is a poor fit if a hire might leave within months. Contractor plans and Global Payroll are shown with yearly billing only.
Multiplier key features
Multiplier pricing
Multiplier's pricing page, read on 19 October 2026, prints both EOR plans on yearly and monthly terms, at the rates in the table above, with Enterprise by quote. Contractor of Record costs $400 per contractor a month and the lighter contractor plan $40, both billed annually, and Global Payroll starts at $20 per employee a month.
Our scenario: ten EOR employees on Core cost $55,080 a year on the yearly term and $59,880 month to month, our arithmetic on the printed rates. On month-to-month terms, the same ten cost $71,880 a year at Deel's flat rate, $71,880 from Remote's starting rate and $83,880 at Oyster's $699. RemoFirst starts at $199, which is $23,880 for ten, though a starting rate rarely holds in every country.
Three items are not priced on the page, and your quote should list them. Every EOR and contractor plan carries "compliance mandated add-ons" and an "implementation fee as applicable", Global Payroll adds setup, implementation, payment and statutory fees as applicable, and about 11% of supported countries have adjusted rates. Competitor prices were read on their own pricing pages the same day.

- Global Payroll from $20 per employee runs entity staff beside EOR hires in one system.
- No minimum headcount, so a single hire in one country is accepted.

Who Multiplier is for
Multiplier suits a company building a team abroad that wants a full EOR service below the Deel and Remote list price, and that is happy to sign a yearly term for the best rate. It also fits a team that already has entities in some countries, since Global Payroll and EOR share one platform and one invoice.
Skip Multiplier if your budget has to be fixed before you sign, because the add-on and implementation fees only appear in a quote. Skip it too for Contractor of Record work, where Deel and Remote both charge less, and if most of your people invoice you, compare the contractor management platforms first, since a yearly contractor plan is a commitment a freelancer-heavy team may not need.
Best Multiplier alternatives
If Multiplier is not the right fit, these are the closest options.
| Tool | Best for | Starts at | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multiplier | Companies hiring abroad that want an EOR priced under Deel and Remote and accept a yearly term | EOR Core $459/employee/mo yearly or $499 monthly | Visit → |
| Deel | Teams that want month-to-month EOR with every fee printed on the pricing page | EOR $599/employee/mo | Visit → |
| Remote | Teams that want EOR, payroll and contractors with no setup fees or deposits | EOR from $599/employee/mo | Visit → |
| Oyster | Companies that will pay more per hire for guided onboarding and included setup | EOR $699/employee/mo | Visit → |
| RemoFirst | Cost-first teams hiring in countries where its starting rate applies | EOR from $199/employee/mo | Visit → |
The bottom line
Multiplier is worth shortlisting when the per-employee EOR fee drives the decision. Its Core plan undercuts Deel, Remote and Oyster on like-for-like monthly billing, and the yearly term cuts another 8%, which adds up fast across a team of ten or more. Before you sign, get the add-on, implementation and country adjustments in writing, because the list price is a floor rather than a total.
If your hires are mostly contractors, Deel or Remote cost less. For the rest of the field, read our Deel review, Remote review, Oyster review and Papaya Global review, compare Deel pricing and Remote pricing line by line, and see Deel vs Remote. US-only hiring is usually cheaper through one of the best PEO services, and Deel's Toolradar profile and Oyster's list more options.
Methodology: every price comes from each vendor's own pricing page, read on 19 October 2026 in US dollars, and yearly totals are our arithmetic on those printed rates.
