Jibble Review 2026: Free Time Clock, Paid Plans, Pros and Cons
What the free plan covers for unlimited users, how the unpriced paid upgrades bill, and what Connecteam, Homebase, Buddy Punch and QuickBooks Time charge a 25 or 60 person crew instead.
Yes, Jibble is still worth it in 2026, because the time clock most hourly teams need costs $0 for unlimited users. GPS on every punch, geofenced clock-ins, face recognition and a shared kiosk are all marketed as part of the free plan on Jibble's own site, read in October 2026. A 60-person crew pays nothing, where Buddy Punch Pro would bill $438.40 a month on annual terms.
The catch is the paid side. Jibble no longer publishes prices for its upgrade plans, so a team that wants the extras only sees the per-seat price inside the app, and annual seats are non-refundable once bought. Use the free plan, and treat any upgrade as a quote you price before committing.

JibbleJibble sells one message on every page of its site: free forever, unlimited users. That makes it unusual in a category where most vendors cap the free tier at 10 people or one location. Toolradar data: Jibble ranks sixth among the 109 time tracking tools in Toolradar's October 2026 ranking, the software directory we run, and 56 of those 109 tools offer some free plan, so a free tier alone is common; one with no headcount ceiling is not.
This review covers what the free plan holds, how the paid upgrades are billed now that their prices are off the public site, and what four rivals cost a 25-person and a 60-person crew. Rival prices were read on each vendor's own pricing page in October 2026, and Jibble's terms come from its billing help article and feature pages. For the wider free market, our free time clock apps guide prices nine tools for a 12-person team.
What is Jibble?
Jibble is a cloud time and attendance app. Workers clock in from a phone, a desktop app, a browser extension or a shared kiosk device, and each entry can carry a GPS stamp, a selfie or a face-recognition check. Managers set geofences around job sites, approve timesheets, apply overtime rules, track time off and public holidays, and export payroll-ready hours as XLS or CSV files, and staff can also clock in from Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Project tracking sits next to attendance, so the same app logs hours against clients and activities and turns them into invoices. That puts Jibble between two camps: attendance clocks such as Buddy Punch and project timers such as Clockify. The buyer is an operator in construction, cleaning, retail or field services who wants proof of where and when people worked, on a budget of zero. Our time clock software ranking sets it against the paid clocks.
How Jibble works
Sign-up opens a 14-day trial, and when it ends the account continues on the free plan unless the owner buys an upgrade. Sign-up asks for no credit card, so the free tier never needs one. Upgrades are bought from Organization, then Subscription, inside the web app, which is also the only place the per-seat price is shown.
Paid plans bill per seat and upfront. Every member added to the organization takes a seat, whether or not they accepted the invite, and the owner takes one as well, so a 40-person crew needs 41 seats. Extra seats are prorated and charged at once; removing people only lowers the count at renewal. Monthly payment works by card or PayPal only, and teams over 50 staff can ask to pay an annual plan by bank transfer.
Day to day, workers punch from the mobile app or a kiosk, the rules flag late or out-of-zone punches, and managers approve timesheets before the payroll export. Jibble records hours; it does not list a payroll service of its own, so pay runs stay with your payroll provider.
Jibble key features
Jibble pricing
Jibble's free plan costs $0 for unlimited users, and that is the only price the vendor still prints. Its paid upgrade plans are sold per seat, paid upfront monthly or annually, with prices shown only in the app's subscription screen, and an enterprise tier is sold through sales. Nonprofits can claim a 50% lifetime discount on upgrades after verification. Terms were read in October 2026 in Jibble's billing article, its plan change article and its nonprofit discount article.
Scenario one, a 25-person crew on two sites that needs GPS, geofences and a kiosk. Jibble's bill is zero. Connecteam's Operations Advanced plan, the first with geofence sites, costs $49 a month on yearly billing for the first 30 users. Homebase Essentials costs $60 for two locations at $30 each. Buddy Punch Pro on annual billing costs $193.75 ($19 base plus 25 users at $6.99), and QuickBooks Time Elite, the tier with geofencing, costs $340 ($40 base plus 25 users at $12).
Scenario two, 60 people on three sites. Jibble still costs nothing, and the gap with every rival widens. Connecteam Advanced rises to $124 (30 extra users at $2.50 each on yearly billing), Homebase Essentials to $90, Buddy Punch Pro to $438.40, and QuickBooks Time Elite to $760. Over a year, our arithmetic puts Buddy Punch at $5,260.80 for the same crew that Jibble serves for nothing.
Methodology: list prices in USD before tax, read on the Connecteam, Homebase, Buddy Punch and QuickBooks Time pricing pages in October 2026, multiplied by headcount or location count as shown. Promotional discounts are left out. No total is computed for Jibble's paid plans because their price is not published.

Jibble pros and cons
What we like
- Free for unlimited users, so a 60-person crew pays $0 where Buddy Punch Pro bills $438.40 a month.
- Geofencing, GPS stamps, face recognition and a shared kiosk are all marketed as part of the free plan.
- Project and client time converts into invoices, which attendance-only clocks lack.
What could be better
- Paid plan prices are not published, so upgrades cannot be compared before entering the app.
- Annual seats are non-refundable, and every invited member takes a seat even before accepting.
Who Jibble is for
Use Jibble when the job is proof of attendance and the budget is zero. A construction, cleaning or field crew of any size gets geofenced, GPS-stamped and face-checked punches plus a kiosk without paying per head, which no rival in this review matches past 30 people. Our construction time clock ranking covers the job-site case in more depth.
Look elsewhere when the schedule is the product. Jibble's feature list names work schedules but no shift trading or open-shift claiming, so a restaurant or store that lives in its rota is better served by Homebase or When I Work, and our shift scheduling ranking compares them. Look elsewhere too if you want payroll in the same login, since Jibble exports hours rather than running pay.
Be careful if you already know you need a paid tier. Without a public price, you cannot compare the upgrade against Connecteam's printed rates until you are inside the app, and an annual purchase locks the seat count for the term. A team tracking billable project hours rather than attendance should also read our time tracking software ranking.

The bottom line
Take Jibble's free plan when you need attendance proof for a crew of any size: geofences, GPS stamps, face checks and a kiosk at no cost is a deal nobody else in this review offers past 30 people. Do not buy a paid upgrade blind. The per-seat price only appears in the app, seats are billed upfront, annual seats are non-refundable, and cancelling back to free removes upgraded features at once and can delete some settings.
Pick a rival when the schedule or payroll matters more than the clock. Connecteam is the printed flat-rate option up to 30 users, Homebase the per-location one, and Buddy Punch or QuickBooks Time the per-user clocks with payroll ties.
