Connecteam Pricing 2026: Hubs, Plans and What a Team Really Pays

Connecteam is free up to 10 users in 2026, then $29, $49 or $99 a month per hub for the first 30 users on yearly billing; 50 people on Operations Basic pay $45/mo.

Connecteam Pricing 2026: Hubs, Plans and What a Team Really Pays

Connecteam costs $0 for up to 10 users, then $29, $49 or $99 a month per hub for the first 30 users on yearly billing in 2026, or $35, $59 and $119 billed monthly. Each hub (Operations, Communications, HR & Skills) is its own subscription, and users past 30 add $0.50 to $5 each a month. A 50-person team on Operations Basic pays $45/mo on a yearly plan.

Prices were read on Connecteam's pricing page on 17 October 2026, in USD. Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 107 time tracking tools as of October 2026, 55 of them with a free plan, and Connecteam sits second in its time tracking ranking behind Clockify. On our arithmetic, a 50-person team that wants all three hubs on Advanced pays $257/mo on yearly billing, more than five times the single-hub Basic price.

The pricing model confuses buyers because the unit is the hub, not the seat. A cleaning company with 40 field staff might need only the time clock and schedule, which is one hub, while a franchise group that also wants chat, training and onboarding pays for three. This page prices both.

At a glance

Plan Yearly billing, per month Monthly billing Users included Who it fits
Small Business Free Free Up to 10 Any team of 10 or fewer, every hub and feature
Limited Free Free Up to 30 Teams of 11 to 30 that accept the stripped-down essentials of each hub
Basic (per hub) $29 $35 First 30 One hub with the core features and a single clock or schedule
Advanced (per hub) $49 $59 First 30 Teams that need geofences, repeating shifts or anonymous surveys
Expert (per hub) $99 $119 First 30 Up to 12 schedules, API access and automations
Enterprise (per hub) Custom Custom Custom SSO, two-factor sign-in, unlimited clocks and a success manager

Yearly billing works out to 10 months of the monthly price, which Connecteam labels as an 18% saving. A 14-day trial runs the Expert plan on every hub with no card, and when it ends the account moves to a paid plan, to the free Limited plan for up to 30 users, or to Small Business for 10 or fewer.

What is a Connecteam hub and why does it change the bill?

A hub is a bundle of modules sold as one subscription. Operations holds the time clock, job scheduling, forms and quick tasks, which is the hub most hourly teams buy first. Communications holds chat, company updates, the directory, surveys, events, a knowledge base and a help desk. HR & Skills holds time off, courses, quizzes, documents and e-sign, recognition, rewards, hiring and onboarding.

Each hub is priced on the same ladder, Basic, Advanced, Expert and Enterprise, and each can sit on a different tier. Connecteam's own example is Expert on Operations, Advanced on Communications and Basic on HR, which on yearly billing is $177/mo for the first 30 users. Buying one paid hub also gives Limited-plan access to the other two, so a team on Operations Basic still gets basic chat and time off without paying for them.

The practical consequence is that the hub count matters more than the tier. Three Basic hubs cost $87/mo on yearly billing, almost the same as one Expert hub, so a team should decide which modules it will use daily before it looks at tiers.

What does each Operations tier include?

Basic covers a single time clock and a single schedule. It has real-time clock in and out with GPS, unlimited jobs, payroll integration, basic scheduling with open shifts, unlimited checklists and forms, and a customized app welcome screen. A crew that clocks in from one app and runs one weekly rota can stay here for years.

Advanced is the tier most multi-site teams land on. It adds full time clock customization, auto clock-out, up to 10 geofence sites, repeating shifts and schedule templates, a live schedule link, conditional form fields and bulk actions. The jump from Basic is $20/mo on yearly billing, and the extra-user fee more than triples, which is the detail that catches teams above 30 people.

Expert is for automation and integrations. It adds unlimited geofence sites, auto-assigned shifts, up to 12 schedules, unlimited shift tasks and attachments, auto-reports, API access and webhooks. A team that pushes hours into payroll by API or runs a dozen rotas needs it; a single-site team does not.

Enterprise adds the security layer. Unlimited time clocks and schedules, SSO, two-factor authentication, biometric app lock, higher API limits and a personal success manager. Connecteam publishes no price for it.

The Communications and HR & Skills hubs follow the same ladder with their own feature cut-offs: Basic HR carries six time-off policies with balance management and two document packs, Advanced nine policies and unlimited packs, Expert up to 10 e-sign documents.

What does Connecteam cost for 10, 30, 50 and 100 users?

The table multiplies Connecteam's published rates by headcount for the Operations hub on yearly billing. Totals are our arithmetic, not a vendor quote, and exclude tax.

Users Basic per month Advanced per month Expert per month Basic per year Advanced per year Expert per year
10 Free Free Free Free Free Free
30 $29 $49 $99 $348 $588 $1,188
50 $45 $99 $183 $540 $1,188 $2,196
100 $85 $224 $393 $1,020 $2,688 $4,716

Two things stand out. Up to 30 users the price is flat, so a team of 12 and a team of 30 pay the same, which makes Connecteam cheap per head at the top of that band and expensive at the bottom. Past 30 the extra-user rate drives the bill: at 100 users Advanced costs $224/mo against $85 for Basic, because each added person is $2.50 instead of $0.80.

On monthly billing the same 50-person Operations team pays $55 on Basic, $119 on Advanced and $219 on Expert, since the extra-user rate also rises ($1, $3 and $5). A team that is sure it will stay a year should pick yearly billing; one that scales up and down with the season may prefer the monthly rate and the right to cancel at any time, which Connecteam offers.

What are the extra-user fees per hub?

The per-user fee from the 31st user is the number most third-party pages get wrong, because it differs by hub and by billing cycle. Here are the figures printed on the vendor's page.

Hub and tier Yearly billing, per extra user per month Monthly billing, per extra user per month
Operations Basic $0.80 $1.00
Operations Advanced $2.50 $3.00
Operations Expert $4.20 $5.00
Communications Basic $0.50 $0.60
Communications Advanced $1.50 $1.80
Communications Expert $3.00 $3.60
HR & Skills Basic $0.50 $0.60
HR & Skills Advanced $1.50 $1.80
HR & Skills Expert $3.00 $3.60

Operations is the most expensive hub per extra user, which makes sense because the clock and schedule are the modules every field worker touches. A 60-person team that wants all three hubs on Advanced pays, on yearly billing, $124 for Operations, $94 for Communications and $94 for HR, or $312/mo in total.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes, with two different free plans that buyers mix up. Small Business is free for life for up to 10 users with every hub and every feature, including the Expert-level modules. It has no trial clock and no card. Limited is the free fallback for teams of 11 to 30 after the trial: it keeps the essentials of each hub, such as a single time clock and a single schedule, one knowledge category and one onboarding pack, but drops balance-managed time-off policies and most automations.

The trap is the 11th user. A 10-person team that hires one more person loses Small Business and lands on Limited, which has far fewer features, or on a paid hub at the full 30-user price. For teams in that bracket, our free employee scheduling apps and free time clock apps rankings list the caps of each free tier so you can see which tool stays free longest.

Is Connecteam cheaper than Homebase, When I Work or Deputy?

For a team of 30 to 50 on one hub, usually yes against the per-user schedulers, and no against Homebase on a single site. The comparison below prices scheduling and a time clock for 50 people on one location, using each vendor's entry plan as read on 17 October 2026.

Tool Entry plan, 50 users on one site Pricing unit
Connecteam Operations Basic $45/mo on yearly billing Per hub, first 30 users included
Homebase Essentials $30/mo Per location, unlimited employees
When I Work Essentials $125/mo $2.50 per user
Sling Business $170/mo on yearly billing $3.40 per user, free plan up to 30 users
Deputy Lite $250/mo $5 per user, $30 minimum per invoice

Homebase wins on a single address because its price does not move with headcount, and its free Basic plan includes a time clock for up to 10 people. Connecteam wins once the team is spread over several sites, since it has no per-location charge and Homebase bills every address. Deputy and When I Work cost more at 50 users, but they are scheduling-first products with auto-scheduling and labor rules that Connecteam Basic lacks. Our Homebase review, Deputy review and When I Work review cover each in depth, and Homebase vs Deputy prices the two head to head.

Which Connecteam plan should you choose?

Pick Small Business if you have 10 or fewer users; there is no reason to pay. Pick Limited if you have 11 to 30 people and need only a single clock and schedule with basic chat. Pick Operations Basic when hours, jobs and one rota are the whole job, and Operations Advanced when you run several sites with geofences or repeating shifts. Add Communications or HR & Skills only when the team will use chat, training or onboarding every week, because each adds its own subscription.

Go to Expert for API access, automations or a dozen schedules, and ask for Enterprise when the security team requires SSO. The product verdict, including the rough edges, sits in our Connecteam review. How we priced this

We compared vendor pages rather than testing the products. Connecteam's hub prices, extra-user fees, free plans and trial terms come from its pricing page, read on 17 October 2026, in USD. Competitor entry prices come from the Homebase pricing page, the When I Work pricing page, the Sling pricing page and the Deputy pricing page, read the same day. Headcount totals multiply published rates and are not vendor quotes. Louis Corneloup, who founded Toolradar and Dupple, edited the page. Check the order form before you sign.

FAQ

How much does Connecteam cost per month in 2026?

Connecteam is free for up to 10 users. Above that, each hub costs $29, $49 or $99 a month for the first 30 users on yearly billing, or $35, $59 and $119 month to month, plus a per-user fee from the 31st user. A 30-person team on Operations Basic pays $29/mo on a yearly plan.

Does Connecteam charge per user?

Only after the 30th user. The first 30 are included in the hub price, and each extra user costs between $0.50 and $5 a month depending on the hub, the tier and the billing cycle. Operations Advanced, for example, adds $2.50 per extra user on yearly billing and $3 on monthly billing.

Is Connecteam free for small businesses?

Yes. The Small Business plan is free for life for up to 10 users and includes all hubs and all features. Teams of 11 to 30 can use the free Limited plan after the trial, which keeps the essentials of each hub but not the full feature set.

How long is the Connecteam free trial?

14 days, with no credit card, on the Expert plan across every hub. When it ends you choose a paid plan, the free Limited plan for up to 30 users, or the Small Business plan if you have 10 or fewer.

What is the difference between Connecteam hubs?

Operations holds the time clock, scheduling, forms and tasks. Communications holds chat, updates, the directory, surveys, events, a knowledge base and a help desk. HR & Skills holds time off, courses, documents and e-sign, recognition, hiring and onboarding. Each hub is a separate subscription, and buying one gives Limited-plan access to the other two.

Is yearly billing worth it on Connecteam?

Yearly billing costs the equivalent of 10 months at the monthly rate, which the vendor labels an 18% saving, and the extra-user fee is lower too. It pays off for a stable team; a seasonal business that will drop a hub for part of the year may prefer the monthly rate, which can be cancelled at any time.
