JazzHR Review

The three JazzHR annual cards, the job cap on Hero, who those rates exclude, and four ATS prices a small team should put beside them.

TL;DR

JazzHR is worth it in 2026 if you want a published annual ATS bill and your hiring fits a job cap. Hero is $1,000 a year, Plus is $3,480 a year, and Pro is $5,508 a year. Those cards exclude agencies, franchises, multi-location businesses, and employers over 250 people. Breezy HR has a free plan.

Month-to-month costs more than the annual card, and offers plus advanced reporting are add-ons on Plus. Read this next to the ATS roundup before you treat the Plus total as the only small-business price.

  • Updated: October 16, 2026
  • Best for: Small employers that want one annual ATS bill and can stay inside a job cap.
  • Price as of October 16, 2026: From $1,000/yr on Hero. Plus and Pro are higher annual cards. Monthly rates cost more.
  • A flat annual ATS price for small companies, with a job cap on the cheaper plan.
  • Annual cards: Hero, Plus, and Pro each show a yearly total and a higher monthly rate.
  • Job posts: Hero starts at 3 posts a month. Plus allows up to 200 active jobs.
  • Outside the card: Agencies, franchises, multi-location firms, and employers over 250 people are excluded.
  • Free plan: The pricing page does not list a free plan or a free trial.

Pros

  • Hero, Plus, and Pro are printed as annual totals, so a budget does not wait on a demo.
  • Plus covers up to 200 active jobs plus AI matching and structured interviews.
  • The annual total does not step up when the company hires its next employee.

Cons

  • Hero omits knockout questions, calendar sync, interview guides, and source reports.
  • Offers and advanced visual reporting are add-ons on Plus, and no add-on rate is printed.
  • Standard rates exclude agencies, franchises, multi-location firms, and employers over 250 people.

JazzHR is the small-business hiring product inside Employ, sold beside Lever and Jobvite. The pricing page is a checkout, which is why a people lead opens it before booking a demo.

A team that runs interviews from a shared calendar will not stay on Hero. Knockout questions, interview guides, and that calendar sync are off the cheap plan. Plus is the card that covers a normal interview loop, and the total does not rise when headcount does.

Toolradar data: Toolradar evaluated 32 applicant tracking tools for its ATS ranking, updated October 2026. JazzHR's directory page is in that set.

Prices below were checked on October 16, 2026. How we compared: a flat company price against a headcount band and a per-recruiter license, and which interview tools sit outside the cheapest card. This is a read of vendor pages, not a product trial. The method is on how we rate.

What is JazzHR?

An applicant tracking system holds open jobs, applicants, interviews, and the hire decision. JazzHR sells that job to small businesses as Employ's foundational product.

Employ's company page says the parent is trusted by 26,000+ companies, a figure that also covers Lever and Jobvite, so it is not a JazzHR customer count.

The three plans are company prices. The page does not print a fee per recruiter. Hero includes the ATS, email templates, a LinkedIn Recruiter integration, and job posts starting at 3 a month. Plus raises the active-job cap to 200 and adds AI candidate matching, structured interviews, task automation, and standard reporting.

Pro adds offers and e-signatures, a custom report builder, workflow reports, and all-access support.

Two rows on the comparison grid change the buy. Advanced visual reporting and offers are marked add-on on Plus and included on Pro. Hero has neither, even as an add-on.

How JazzHR works

You can leave the pricing page with a plan selected. Each card has a get-started path, and a yearly or monthly switch sits above the prices. Copy the yearly total into the budget. The monthly rate is the one you pay if the company will not sign an annual term.

Day to day, recruiters post to the free boards JazzHR describes, more than a dozen, and can buy premium listings on top. Stages are custom on every plan. Knockout questions, bulk actions, and workflow helpers start on Plus.

A Hero team that wants a shared Google or Outlook calendar is booking outside the product, because that sync is off Hero, along with interview guides and evaluation templates.

The bill grows where the card is silent. The pricing FAQ says some add-ons are consumption-based and does not print a rate. Data migration is included on select plans, and the page does not name which. Employers over 250 people, staffing agencies, HR service providers, franchises, and multi-location businesses are outside the standard rates.

JazzHR key features

Three public prices, two ways to payEssential
Hero, Plus, and Pro each show an annual total and a higher month-to-month rate on the same page. The banner says yearly billing saves up to 24%. Hero is the plan where that gap reaches the full 24%. Plus and Pro save less than the banner's ceiling.
A job cap, not a headcount bandEssential
Hero's card starts at 3 job posts a month. Plus allows up to 200 active jobs. Both lines carry a footnote: posting can be limited by eligibility rules and by the job boards themselves. Hiring another employee does not, by itself, move the annual total.
Hero leaves the interview loop outEssential
Knockout questions, bulk candidate actions, workflow helpers, calendar sync, interview guides, evaluation templates, and source and timing reports are off Hero. They are on Plus and Pro. A team that interviews from a shared calendar is buying Plus, whatever the Hero total looks like.
Offers are included only on ProEssential
The comparison marks offers and e-signatures, and advanced visual reporting, as add-ons on Plus and included on Pro. Hero shows a minus for both. Pro's own card also names a custom report builder, workflow reports, and all-access support.
Standard rates skip several buyers
The pricing footnote says the printed rates do not apply to staffing or recruiting agencies, HR service providers, franchises, multi-location businesses, or organizations with over 250 employees. Those buyers need a different conversation before they use these cards.
Add-ons without a printed rate
The pricing FAQ defines consumption-based pricing for some add-ons and says usage can be tracked in the product. It does not list a dollar for those add-ons. A budget copied from the annual card can still grow after checkout.

JazzHR pricing

The three cards were read on JazzHR's pricing page on October 16, 2026. Hero is $1,000 a year or $110 a month. Plus is $3,480 a year or $350 a month. Pro is $5,508 a year or $549 a month.

A year on Hero's monthly rate is $1,320, which is $320 more than the annual card. That $320 gap is the 24% the banner is pointing at. A year on Plus month to month is $4,200, or $720 above the annual card. A year on Pro month to month is $6,588, or $1,080 above the annual card.

Model a 15-person company with one recruiter that needs interview guides, so Hero is the wrong plan. Plus on the annual card is the JazzHR number. The same headcount on Workable, yearly Standard recruiting with HR left off, is $3,588 for the year.

Turning Workable's HR switch on moves that 1 to 20 band to $4,308 for the year. Ashby puts 15 people in the 11 to 25 band. On the yearly term that band is $360 a month, or $4,320 for the year, before SSO.

Breezy HR Growth is the tier with interview guides and scorecards. Its annual rate is $273 a month, or $3,276 for the year. Startup, a step down, is $157 a month on the annual price and does not include those guides.

Zoho Recruit's corporate page prices Standard at $25 per recruiter license a month on the annual term, 10 active jobs per license, which is $300 for one license across a year.

Enterprise, with AI matching and 20 jobs per license, is $50 a month on that term, or $600 for one license across a year.

One Zoho license is the cheap path when a single recruiter can live inside 10 or 20 open jobs. JazzHR Plus is the flat bill when the job list is longer than that and you do not want a per-person rate. Workable is the close recruiting year if you also want a 15-day Standard trial, which the JazzHR pricing page does not offer. Ashby's yearly band is the higher headcount price, and it already includes CRM.

JazzHR pros and cons

What we like

  • Hero, Plus, and Pro are printed as annual totals, so a budget does not wait on a demo.
  • Plus covers up to 200 active jobs plus AI matching and structured interviews.
  • The annual total does not step up when the company hires its next employee.

What could be better

  • Hero omits knockout questions, calendar sync, interview guides, and source reports.
  • Offers and advanced visual reporting are add-ons on Plus, and no add-on rate is printed.
  • Standard rates exclude agencies, franchises, multi-location firms, and employers over 250 people.

Who JazzHR is for

JazzHR fits a company under 250 people that is not an agency, a franchise, an HR service provider, or a multi-location business, and that wants one annual number instead of a per-employee quote. Plus is the fit when interview guides and more than a few open jobs are in scope.

Pro is the fit when the offer letter and the custom report have to be in that same number.

It is a weak fit for a single recruiter with a short job list. One Zoho Recruit license prices that job far below Plus, with a hard cap of 10 or 20 active jobs depending on the plan. It is also a weak fit when the team needs to post one role before a contract: the pricing page has no free plan.

Start with the free applicant tracking list, where Breezy's free job lives.

Skip the printed cards if you are over 250 employees or in one of the excluded organization types. The footnote says those rates do not apply. Skip JazzHR if the real need is a candidate CRM with nurture between reqs. That is Lever, sold by the same parent, and the price is a quote.

Read the Workable review when you want a trial and an HR switch, and the Ashby review when the company will stay under 100 people and headcount billing is acceptable.

The posting still starts with the job description.

The bottom line

Buy JazzHR Plus when the company is inside the standard-rate rules, the open-job list will outgrow a 10-job license, and you want that annual total to ignore headcount. Buy Pro when the offer and the custom report have to be inside the same card, because Plus marks both as add-ons with no printed rate. Buy Hero only if 3 posts a month and no shared calendar are enough.

Do not buy it to get a free job, a per-recruiter price near one Zoho license, or a CRM. Breezy Bootstrap is the free job. Zoho Recruit is the license. Lever is the CRM, on a quote, from the same parent.

Workable is the recruiting year that also has a trial, and Ashby is the headcount year under 100 people.

Leave JazzHR if you are an agency, a franchise, a multi-location business, or over 250 employees. The printed cards say they do not apply.

The Greenhouse alternatives guide is the wider price list if the shortlist started somewhere else, and the recruiting CRM guide covers nurture between jobs.

Breezy and Zoho Recruit are both in the Toolradar ATS set with JazzHR.

Frequently asked questions

Is JazzHR worth it in 2026?

Yes, when a company under 250 people wants a flat annual ATS price and the open-job list fits Plus or the lighter Hero cap. It is a poor buy for a single recruiter who can stay inside 10 or 20 active jobs, because Zoho Recruit prices that job per license at a much lower year. It is also a poor buy for agencies, franchises, multi-location businesses, and larger employers, because the pricing footnote says the standard rates do not apply to them.

How much does JazzHR cost?

On the pricing page checked October 16, 2026, Hero is $1,000 a year or $110 a month, Plus is $3,480 a year or $350 a month, and Pro is $5,508 a year or $549 a month. Paying Hero month to month for a full year comes to $1,320. Some add-ons are consumption-based with no rate on that page, so the card is not a ceiling. Employers over 250 people do not get these rates.

Does JazzHR have a free plan or a free trial?

The pricing page does not list a free plan or a trial. Each paid card goes to a get-started checkout, and a demo is a separate request. Breezy HR keeps one active job free on Bootstrap and offers a 14-day trial of the paid product with no credit card. Zoho Recruit's corporate free plan includes 1 active job per recruiter license, and the paid editions start with a 15-day trial.

What does Hero leave out that Plus includes?

Hero does not include knockout questions, bulk actions, workflow helpers, Google or Outlook calendar sync, interview guides, candidate evaluation templates, or source and timing reports. Plus and Pro include that set. Offers, e-signatures, and advanced visual reporting are still add-ons on Plus and are included only on Pro. A team that books interviews on a shared calendar should not plan around the Hero total.

How does JazzHR compare with Lever?

Both are Employ products. JazzHR prints three annual cards and does not name a CRM. Lever's pricing page is a quote, and the FAQ says the rate depends on organization size and hiring needs. Lever's core includes the ATS, the CRM, reporting, unlimited interview transcripts, and fraud signals, while Candidate Insights, VONQ screening, and Onboarding are separate modules. Choose JazzHR to know the year before a call. Choose Lever when nurture between jobs matters more than a printed total. The Greenhouse vs Lever note covers the quote-only side of that market.
