Workable vs Breezy HR 2026: ATS Pricing and Verdict
Workable vs Breezy HR in 2026: Breezy charges one flat price at any headcount, Workable prices by employee band. Annual and monthly rates compared, with a verdict.

Breezy HR is the cheaper ATS for almost every small or mid-size company, because its price is flat: Startup is $157 a month billed annually whatever your headcount, while Workable Standard starts at $299 a month billed annually for 1 to 20 employees and climbs with each employee band. Workable wins when you want recruiting and an HRIS from one vendor, plus a 400M+ candidate sourcing database and an AI agent.
Prices come from Workable's pricing page and Breezy HR's pricing page, both read on October 19, 2026. Both vendors offer monthly and annual billing, so this page compares annual with annual and monthly with monthly, and says which is which.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 39 ATS tools as of October 2026. Among the 13 that publish a verified entry price, the median entry plan is $75 a month, so both of these sit well above the category's middle. Buyers cross-shop them often: Workable is listed as an alternative to 43 other tools, third in the ATS category, and Breezy HR to 29, sixth.

Why the headcount band decides the bill
Workable's price follows your employee count; Breezy's does not. That one difference matters more than any feature. Breezy's pricing page says it serves teams of 10 to 10,000 on the same four plans, with unlimited users from the free plan up. Workable's page asks for a company-size band first, and the price of each plan rises at every step.
Here is what a company pays for an ATS with scorecards on each side, at annual billing. On Breezy that means Growth, the first plan with customizable scorecards and interview guides; on Workable, Standard already includes them.
| Company size | Workable Standard, billed annually | Breezy Growth, billed annually | Monthly gap (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 20 employees | $299/mo | $273/mo | $26 |
| 21 to 50 employees | $419/mo | $273/mo | $146 |
| 51 to 100 employees | $669/mo | $273/mo | $396 |
| 101 to 200 employees | $949/mo | $273/mo | $676 |

At 20 employees the two are close; at 100 they are not. A 75-person company pays Workable more than twice what it pays Breezy for the same core job of posting roles, moving candidates and scoring interviews. The gap is the price of Workable's extras, so the real question is whether you will use them.
On monthly billing the order holds. Workable Standard is $360 a month for 1 to 20 employees, and Breezy Growth is $329 a month. Workable's Premier and Enterprise plans are sold on annual billing only, at $599 and $719 a month for the smallest band.
What each extra costs on Workable Standard
Workable sells three recruiting add-ons on Standard, priced by the same employee band. For 1 to 20 employees on annual billing, texting is $89 a month, video interviews $109 and assessments $59. Premier includes all three plus referrals, so it is the plan to price once you need two of them.
Breezy bundles more into its entry plan. Startup already includes one-way candidate video and video interviews through its own browser tool, Zoom, Google Meet or Teams, plus interview self-scheduling and background screening integrations. Texting is a paid add-on on every Breezy plan, with credits from $41 a month, and assessment integrations start at Business.
A 15-person company that wants scorecards and video interviews shows what the bundling means in dollars: it pays $408 a month on Workable, Standard plus the video add-on at annual billing, against $273 on Breezy Growth, where video is already in. That is $135 a month by our arithmetic, before either side adds texting, so a small team that interviews remotely should price Workable with the add-on, not the headline plan.
Recruiting and HR in one vendor
This is where Workable earns its price. Every Workable plan can carry an HR side: an HRIS, onboarding, time off, time tracking, e-signatures, payroll preparation and payroll integrations, with audit trails and multi-entity support. For 1 to 20 employees, the recruiting and HR bundle on Standard is $359 a month billed annually. One login runs the candidate from application to employee record.
Breezy stays an ATS with satellites. Its Onboard add-on starts at $49 a month and syncs role-based onboarding with the ATS, and Perform covers 1:1s, reviews and goals as a separate product. Neither is an HRIS, so a Breezy customer still needs one. A team that already runs payroll and records in Gusto, Rippling or BambooHR loses nothing by choosing Breezy; a team with no HR system gains the most from Workable. If that HR system is the open question, what an HRIS costs prices the field.
Free plans, trials and AI credits
Breezy has a real free plan. Bootstrap allows unlimited users and one active position or candidate pool at a time, distributes to 50+ job boards and keeps unlimited candidates added within the last 30 days, so a company that fills one role at a time can run on it indefinitely and pay nothing. Workable lists no free plan, only a 15-day trial of the Enterprise feature set with no credit card, and the pricing page notes that the trial does not include the Workable Agent.
The AI features are both metered, on units that do not convert. Workable's Agent spends 1 credit to screen a candidate against your profile, 2 to source a passive candidate and 10 per candidate chat. Each ATS plan includes 3,000 credits, and extra credits cost $0.12 each in a 5,000-credit bundle ($600), expire after a year and are non-refundable. Breezy Intelligence credits start at $30 per 100,000 and never expire, and the 14-day trial includes 100,000. Breezy does not publish how many credits an evaluation uses, so the two cannot be priced per candidate side by side.
Where each one falls short
- Workable: the band pricing punishes a company that grows while hiring slowly, Premier and Enterprise require a year up front, and video interviews cost extra on Standard. A 60-person company with three open roles a year pays for a 51 to 100 band anyway.
- Breezy HR: scorecards and interview guides wait for Growth, assessments and HRIS integrations for Business, and API access, advanced reporting and data export sit in the custom Pro plan. Texting is extra on every plan, and there is no HRIS at any price.
Who should pick which
- Pick Breezy HR if you have 20 or more employees and want an ATS only. Growth gives scorecards, referrals, e-signatures and multiple pipelines at one price that does not move as you hire. Start on Bootstrap if you have one role open.
- Pick Workable if you want the ATS and the HR system from one vendor, or if sourcing from a large candidate database matters. In the smallest band the price gap is small enough that the bundled HRIS can tip it.
- Pick neither if your budget is closer to the category median: the ATS for small business ranking and free applicant tracking systems cover cheaper options, including JazzHR.
Read the single-vendor pages before you buy. Workable pricing breaks down every band and add-on, the Workable review and the Breezy HR review cover the products, and how to choose an ATS lists the questions to settle first. For enterprise-style hiring, Greenhouse vs Lever is the next comparison up, and interview scheduling software helps if logistics are the bottleneck.
How we checked
We read Workable's and Breezy HR's pricing pages on October 19, 2026, including Workable's price for each employee band and billing cycle and Breezy's annual and monthly toggles. Toolradar figures come from its ATS category and the two vendors' Toolradar pages the same day. Monthly gaps and the worked example are our arithmetic on those list prices. HRpresso runs no test lab and used neither product for this page, so every feature is what the vendor prints. Publishing rules sit on the HRpresso about page.
FAQ
Is Workable or Breezy HR cheaper?
Breezy HR is cheaper at almost every size, because its Startup and Growth plans cost the same whatever your headcount, from $157 a month billed annually. Workable Standard is $299 a month billed annually for 1 to 20 employees and rises with each employee band, reaching $669 for 51 to 100 employees. In the smallest band, Workable Standard costs only $26 a month more than Breezy Growth.
Does Breezy HR or Workable have a free plan?
Breezy HR does. Its Bootstrap plan is free, with unlimited users and one active position or candidate pool at a time. Workable has no free plan; it offers a 15-day free trial with no credit card. Breezy also offers a 14-day trial of its paid features.
Which is better for a company with 100 employees?
Breezy HR, if you only need an ATS. Breezy Growth costs the same at 100 employees as at 10, while Workable Standard for 51 to 100 employees is more than double that rate on annual billing. Workable is worth the premium only if you will use its HRIS, onboarding and payroll preparation tools in the same plan.
Does Workable include an HRIS?
Yes, as an option on every plan. Workable's HR side covers an HRIS, onboarding, time off, time tracking, e-signatures and payroll preparation. Bundled with recruiting on Standard for 1 to 20 employees it is $359 a month billed annually. Breezy HR sells onboarding and performance tools as add-ons but no HRIS.
Which has better AI features?
They meter AI differently, so price alone cannot settle it. Workable's Agent screens, sources and chats with candidates on AI credits, with 3,000 included per ATS plan. Breezy Intelligence evaluates candidates, summarizes interactions and audits resumes, with credits from $30 per 100,000 that never expire. Breezy does not publish credits per action, so ask for a usage estimate before you compare.
Is monthly billing worth it on either tool?
Only for a short hiring burst. On Workable Standard for 1 to 20 employees, monthly billing is $360 a month against the annual rate in the table, and Premier and Enterprise are annual only. On Breezy, annual billing includes two months free, so monthly suits a company that hires for a few months and then drops to the free plan.
