Breezy HR Review 2026: Free ATS, Paid Plans, Pros and Cons
What Breezy HR's free Bootstrap plan covers, what each flat-priced paid plan adds, when monthly billing beats yearly, and how it compares with JazzHR, Workable, Manatal and Recooty.
Breezy HR is worth it in 2026 for small and mid-size companies that hire for several roles at once and want every hiring manager in the tool without paying per seat. Bootstrap is free for one active position. Paid plans are flat per company with unlimited users and positions: Startup is $157 a month billed yearly ($189 monthly), Growth $273 ($329) and Business $439 ($529). Pro is quote-only.
The catch: e-signatures, scorecards and referrals start on Growth, HRIS integrations and offer approvals on Business, and texting candidates is an add-on from $41 a month. Closest alternatives: JazzHR, Workable, Manatal and Recooty.

Breezy HRBreezy HR prices hiring by the company, not by the recruiter. Every paid plan includes unlimited users and unlimited active positions, so a 60-person company can give every hiring manager a login without the bill moving.
That is the opposite of seat-priced tools, and it is the main reason Breezy keeps landing on small-business shortlists.
This review is for HR generalists, talent leads and founders who run hiring at companies of roughly 10 to 250 people. We read Breezy's pricing and plan pages on October 18, 2026, worked out what each plan costs over a year and over a short hiring season, and set Breezy beside four applicant tracking systems checked on their own pricing pages the same day. We run no test lab, so nothing here claims hands-on results.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 39 ATS tools as of October 17, 2026 and places Breezy HR 4th in that ranking.
Breezy is listed as an alternative to 29 other tools in its Toolradar profile, while its entry plan, at the monthly rate, sits well above the $75 median entry price of the ATS tools with a comparable published price. In other words, buyers cross-shop it constantly, and it is not the cheapest way in.
What is Breezy HR?
Breezy HR is an applicant tracking system (ATS): software that posts jobs, collects applications, moves candidates through hiring stages and keeps the team's notes and decisions in one place.
Every plan, including the free one, comes with a branded careers site, distribution to 50+ job boards, resume parsing, multi-language support and GDPR compliance tools.
The paid plans stack features by hiring maturity. Startup adds unlimited positions, automations, questionnaires, interview self-scheduling, email and calendar sync, one-way and live video interviews, background screening integrations, EEOC and OFCCP reporting, mobile apps and a Slack integration.
Growth adds the structured-hiring layer: scorecards, interview guides, automated reference checks, employee referrals, e-signatures, an external recruiter portal, internal positions and multiple pipelines and locations.
Business adds candidate comparison, nurture campaigns, assessment and HRIS integrations, custom roles, position and offer approvals, offer management and priority support.
Around the core sit paid add-ons. Breezy Intelligence, the AI layer for candidate evaluation, interaction summaries and resume audits, is sold in credits starting at $30 per 100,000. Texting candidates starts at $41 a month, and Onboard, a role-based onboarding workflow tool that syncs with the ATS, starts at $49 a month.
How Breezy HR works
Day to day, Breezy works like a visual pipeline. Each job has stages such as applied, phone screen, interview and offer, and candidates move between them by drag and drop or by automation rules.
On Startup and above, a stage change can trigger an email, a questionnaire or a self-scheduling link, which removes most of the calendar back-and-forth for a busy HR generalist.
The free plan has two limits that shape how it works in practice. Bootstrap allows one active position at a time, and it gives unlimited access only to candidates added in the last 30 days. That suits a company filling one role, then pausing; it does not suit a team that wants a searchable talent pool from last year's hiring.
Structured hiring is the Growth line. If your managers interview without a shared scorecard, Startup lets them keep doing so; Growth gives them interview guides and scorecards, and adds e-signatures so the offer letter goes out from the same system.
Business is for teams with approvals: position and offer approval chains, departments, custom permissions and a link into the HRIS so a hired candidate becomes an employee record.
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day trial with no credit card, and the trial includes 100,000 Breezy Intelligence credits. Pro, the custom tier, adds a dedicated account manager, API access, advanced reporting and data export and import, so a company that needs to pull hiring data into another system should ask about Pro early.
Breezy HR key features
Breezy HR pricing
Breezy publishes four priced plans and one custom plan on Breezy HR's pricing page, read on October 18, 2026; the table below lists the yearly and monthly rate of each. Breezy describes yearly billing as "2 months free". Prices are per company: users and active positions are unlimited on every paid plan.
Annual cost, computed from those list prices. Startup billed yearly is $1,884 a year against $2,268 on monthly billing, a $384 difference. Growth billed yearly is $3,276 a year and Business $5,268. Add texting at the entry add-on rate and Startup reaches at least $2,376 a year.
The seasonal hiring math. Because Startup's yearly bill equals about ten months at the monthly rate, a company that hires in a burst should pay monthly. Four months of Startup on monthly billing is $756, less than half the yearly bill, and you can drop back to the free Bootstrap plan between hiring waves if one open role is enough.
Against the field, Breezy is mid-priced. JazzHR Hero is $1,000 a year for a few active jobs, cheaper than any paid Breezy plan, and JazzHR Plus is $3,480 a year.
Workable Standard is $299 a month billed yearly for companies of 1 to 20 employees, with HR tools included.
Manatal charges per user, $15 a month on Professional and $35 on Enterprise billed yearly, so a team of up to four recruiters on Enterprise pays less than Breezy Startup and a team of five pays more.
Recooty Starter is $79 a month billed yearly for 5 active jobs.

Who Breezy HR is for
Breezy fits companies of roughly 10 to 250 people that hire for several roles at once and want hiring managers involved: a growing startup filling engineering and sales seats, a services firm with a steady flow of roles, a multi-location business that needs one careers site.
Flat pricing means you never ration logins, which tends to improve how quickly managers leave feedback.
The free plan is a genuine option for a small company that fills one role at a time and does not need last year's candidates on file. For the full field of no-cost tools, see the best free applicant tracking systems.
It is a weaker fit in three cases. A very small company with one recruiter and a few jobs a year will pay less on JazzHR Hero or a per-user tool like Manatal; our JazzHR review covers the cheaper route.
A company that wants HR records, time off and onboarding in the same subscription may prefer Workable, whose Standard plan bundles them; see our Workable review and the Workable pricing breakdown.
And an enterprise talent team that needs API access or advanced reporting must buy the quote-only Pro plan, which puts it in the same sales conversation as Greenhouse or Lever.

Best Breezy HR alternatives
If Breezy HR is not the right fit, these are the closest options.

The bottom line
Breezy HR is a strong pick when the hiring team is bigger than the HR team. Flat pricing with unlimited users and positions rewards companies that want managers inside the tool, and the free plan is a fair way to try it on a single role.
Budget for Growth if you want scorecards and e-signed offers, and price the texting and AI add-ons before you sign.
Pick something else when the math favors seats or bundles. JazzHR Hero and Manatal are cheaper for one or two recruiters with few jobs, Recooty is cheaper for a very small company, and Workable makes more sense if you want the HR system in the same bill. If you hire in bursts, pay Breezy monthly and drop to Bootstrap between waves.
